Your Menopause Body Powered by Appreciation!

First off, what is appreciation? Synonyms for appreciation are thankfulness, recognition, gratefulness, high regard, enjoyment, love, honor or praise. Appreciation is one of the highest vibrations there is – right up there with LOVE! If you are not including appreciation of your menopausal body in your daily routine, then you are really missing a simple way to have a happy, healthy body! If you are – kudos!

Believe me ladies, we all need to have a great relationship with our bodies during this time of change. It is critical to pay attention to what you are saying to your body and what you believe about your bodies. Remember what you think about is what you bring about wanted or unwanted – the Law of Attraction.

This is how the law of attraction works, when you look in a mirror or try on bathing suits, do you see your bodies as an enemy or friend? How many positive thoughts about your body do you have in a day? How many negative thoughts do you have about your body in a day? Most of us are out of balance when it comes to communicating effectively with our bodies. Results our bodies seem to become our enemies during this delicate time in our lives. How well do you get along with your enemies?  Will you enemies work for you to be happy?  Remember junk in gives you junk out!

In the past month, my wise friend, Judi Moreo , sent out a newsletter article about thanking our bodies for all the wonderful, miraculous things it does for us every minute of the day! I started thinking about how I talk to my brilliant body. I really had not had a very kind discussion with it in a long time. Oh, the things I have screamed at it! You are not healthy enough! You are not thin enough! You are not strong or young enough! That is the PG version of the one-way conversations. Am I really not surprised that my body is not where I want it to be? Throwing negative insults at it has not given me the results I have not desired!

Solution: Starting about 5 weeks ago, I have made a conscience decision to power my body by the appreciation it deserves. Yep, I have started to appreciate and thank all the parts of my body. The results were amazing.

At one of our Queen Bee Saturday events, I lead the gals through “Thank You Body” meditation. At the end of the meditation the gals felt expanded, at peace, and their bodies felt amazing! Everyone was so surprised at the simplicity and effectiveness of the exercise!

Your menopause body powered by Appreciation might be what the doctor ordered for you to open up a beautiful line of communication with it. Our bodies have been trying to communicate with us, but with all our negative screaming, we have not allowed ourselves to listen to it. It knows what food and exercise is good for it. Appreciate it and LISTEN!

Our bodies know what it will take to be healthier and handle menopause. We are the ones making it a bit more difficult with our thoughts and beliefs. Add appreciation to your daily work out and feel how it super sizes the results.

About the same time I started appreciating my body, I started a Pilates Class with the reformer machines. I wanted my body to get stronger and feel healthier. The first day of Pilates was quite challenging for me is an understatement. I felt muscles where I did not know I had muscles! In the middle of a grueling abdominal set on the reformer, when I felt I could not do another rep – I acknowledge my abs by saying a quick “I appreciate you and thank you”. Something remarkable happened, my body allowed me to easily finish up the last three reps. I thought. “hmm…. that’s interesting”. I tried it again when I felt I could not go any further and again the results were amazing. When I was done and on my way home – I gave thanks and appreciation to my tired body. In return, I received a burst of energy to continue through my day.

I will continue powering my menopause body by appreciation, so I can reap the benefits of a happy, healthy body! I really pay attention to what I am communicating to my body- I want to be friends with it. As we all know, friends do not degrade each other. They build each other up! Let your body be your friend!

So lovely ladies over 45, if you seem to be in a battle with your before, during or after menopause body, call a truce! Open up the line of positive communication with it by appreciating your body and your health every day. Now notice how your body responds and how happier you are!
