What dreams have you set aside due to fear? What is it you fear?
Many fear they will look foolish if they tell others about their dreams. The thoughts they have go something like this.
- “What if I fail?”
- “I don’t know how to get started.”
- “I don’t have time.”
- “I’m not smart enough.”
- “Who am I to think I can do this?”
- “Who am I to think others will listen to me?”
I can relate, because I’ve had all these thoughts. When I decided I wanted to share what I had learned over the years with others, I started doubting myself.
I was well respected in the business industry and I thought people would think I went off my rocker if I started talking about my feelings and what I did to overcome issues, going on in my life.
In 2005 I got out of my comfort zone and started distributing newsletters to fellow business associates. What kept be going was receiving thank yous and statements such as: “Thank you. This is just what I needed to hear today.” That is when I knew I was making a difference in lives.
As I kept educating myself in ways to be the best person I could be, I shared what I learned. It became easier and easier for me to do this. As time went on I had to learn new ways to distribute my information. If I had thought about the “How to” before I started, I probably would never have made that leap of faith.
What is it you want to do that FEAR has kept you from taking action? FEAR is just False Evidence Appearing to be Real. Share your dream with as many as possible. The more you share the dream, the quicker you will achieve it.
You might fail at first. That’s when you pick yourself up and keep on going. Be sure you do, whatever it is you are doing, differently. You know the saying: “Keep doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results, is the definition of insanity”.
Forget about the “How To”. Just go for it and the How To will show up.
This really does work!
