I remember when I was a little girl, I had best girlfriends that were always there for me. We laughed and played all day without a care in the world! When I was a teenager going through the ups and downs of high school, I had best friends to share my wins and loses. In college, the pattern continued- it seemed I could do anything when I had girlfriends to support me.
Then I met and married my husband and had a family. Life Happened! Girlfriends were not always on the top of my list of priorities. At other times in my married life, I found time for my “hive“. Being military, we would move and I would have to find my “hive” again. You know those gal pals that were going through the same daily stuff, as I was going through. Those best friends would love me through my many moods and heartaches. In return, I would do the same for them.
Ask a girl friend to lunch, join a group of like-minded gals, and notice how much happier you are because of this much needed connection!
This is the time of your life when you can slow down and smell the roses. Connect with your gal pals. Laugh about your menopause woos and how your life has changed. You will discover life actually is pretty great.
