How great would it be to have a happy high when you first wake up? I mean a natural high. A high that comes from within. What do you think your day would be like if you had this high every day?
It is quite simple. You can create your own high within yourself with one very simple exercise. Your days will flow easily and gracefully. You will be more productive. You will feel good!
I never use to notice how I felt at any time during the day. I just reacted to whatever was taking place around me. I was on automatic when I woke up in the mornings. I was probably on automatic most of the day. I was not particularly a happy person. I was, in most part, a pleasant person. I did let my surroundings rule my feelings though.
How does it feel to you when you are around happy people? Do you feel happier? If you are in an environment where everyone is smiling and pleasant, do you feel like smiling and being pleasant? That is the way it usually works. Their energy is able to help you get the same feeling. Which also means that if they are grumpy, you might get grumpy too.
How do you get the feeling of a happy high? When you wake up, before you even get out of bed or when you are standing in front of a mirror, put a smile on your face and think of an event, a person, or something where you were feeling extremely happy. Anything where you experienced love and happiness. Notice how you feel and where you feel it in your body. Hold onto that feeling for about 68 seconds or so. Pay attention to your body and allow it to stay in that feeling.
Throughout the day, keep going back to that feeling and be grateful for the feeling. Be grateful for anything and everything around you. I can guarantee your day will be much more pleasant, productive, and satisfying.
