During the menopause time of our lives, I believe many of us have experienced a day where we woke up feeling unhappy and may be depressed? Our thoughts are those of worry, frustration, and discontent. As our day unfolds, nothing is going our way. For every step forward, we take 2 backwards. We might start to believe nothing good ever happens to us. We are just not feeling good enough to solve the problem which is causing us worry and frustration. In fact, by the time the afternoon comes around our energy has been depleted and it is nap time! Are we having fun, yet?
For many women who are in throws of the phases of menopause, ( before, during and post) this scenario can show up weekly, if not daily. Out of Balanced hormones can be the number one culprit. The number two culprit is there is change in the air! This is an end to their child bearing years and our so-called youth. It is an emotional time of their lives. They start searching for something! They can no longer suppress issues about our relationships, marriage, health and self-worth at this time of our life. Those some what out-of-control issues seem to fly up and bite them in the fanny! Are we having fun, yet? Our hormonal imbalances make us vulnerable to these emotion driven issues.
There is Good News! With this uncomfortable vulnerability, comes wisdom! We seem to “just know”, we no longer have to settle for non-fulfilling relationships, jobs, and we can start embracing our true selves. We can now throw away our super woman capes and embrace the freedom we deserve! I am not advocating divorce or being mean to love ones.
However, it is time to muzzle the Menopause Mess!
What I am advocating is taking time to love yourself by putting yourself first, practice receiving and start creating your happiness for the second stage of your life. You must understand your emotions create your thoughts and beliefs about yourself and your life, which in turn, creates your happiness or your unhappiness. When you are able to do this, you can embrace this change with the tools to continue to be happier!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, you were really happy and felt fulfilled for the rest of your life!
