Your Reason For Existence Needs No Justification

One way to get through all the menopause emotions is to focus on what brings you happiness. Your hormones are running wild, which means this might be easier said than done. When you feel or “Be”, then you “Do”, you will “Have”

I love this quote.  It says it all!  We need no justification.  Many of us spend an unnecessary amount of time searching for our purpose.   Looking for the reason we are here.  Wondering what it is that we should be doing with our lives.

All that we really need to do is whatever makes us happy.  Whatever we want to experience at any particular time.  Whatever makes us happy will lead us to what we are here for.  Doing what is joyous puts us in alignment with who we really are.  Being in alignment allows us to allow all the good things in.

You are the creator.  If you have the desire, you have the ability to achieve it.  Expect opportunities to come your way.  You don’t need to have the capability, skills or intelligence.  Those will show up.  Be grateful for what you have at this moment and you will find that new experiences arise over and over again – joyful experiences.

This sounds extremely simple.  Practice looking at everything in your life that makes you happy.  Focus on the good and not the bad.  By focusing on the good you will change what is happening in your life.  By focusing on being happy, you will have new, joyous experiences.

I was reading a blog from a friend of mine (www.vickikallman.com) and it struck a cord!  She suggested we determine how we need to BE to get what we desire out of life.  For instance, I need to be courageous, creative, trusting, and loving to get what I desire.  I have started focusing on the way to BE so that I can HAVE my goals.  It does make a difference.   I can FEEL the difference.  Try it, you might like it!

The more you are BEING, the more you will HAVE.

Are You Stuck, Again?

Stuck again!

When it comes to making positive changes in your life,  do you get stuck? It seems you know you must, should, or have to do something different, however,  it just becomes too difficult to move forward. It is like you are walking slowly up hill in deep sand! The next thing you know, you feel exhausted and get stuck. Do you feel this happens more times than not when you set a goal? Let’s find out the root of this frustrating behavior. 
In all my years of coaching people through their personal growth process, the greatest stumbling block to achieving rapid change and growth is this….we won’t give up our old patterns and beliefs.  Even people who really want to change often have trouble because they will not give up their old familiar ways of being and doing!

I call this resistance. Resistance is insidious. It is the “show stopper”. It stops you from  having, doing, and being what you want in life. Menopause is a time in your life when you are ready to make huge changes and then those changes bring up fears that cause you to resist. Using our tools and techniques allow you to get unstuck, let go of those resistance beliefs and move forward to more Happiness in your life. It is always beneficial to be reminded when you are in resistance. Knowing this will allow you to become aware that your non-productive, old beliefs are still hanging around and stopping you from easily moving forward in your life.
 Sadly, resistance is a natural response to trying to make a positive change. However, you probably would not have set a goal for yourself, unless there was something you wanted to change or improve in your life. Unfortunately, resistance gets in the way.  Resistance is a little like the glue which holds all our limitations or suffering in place. As you are working on completing a new goal, you may hit layers of resistance. It may even take the form of “forgetting” you even had the goal or losing interest in it altogether. This is where learning to “let go of your old beliefs and patterns” will really pay off.

Would you rather have your goals and your freedom, or would you rather have the false security of clinging to your old painful emotions, beliefs, or patterns? It is really your choice! Remember, resistance is just a feeling. What you resist persists! And it keeps you stuck…

Resistance is operating 24/7 because we live in a Sea of Should’s, Have To’s, Must Do’s and imperatives! Imperatives or commands- stir up resistance. It is like the world is pushing on you and you are pushing back. It becomes quite exhausting and stressful. Maybe, it is time to “let go” and stop pushing back!

Letting go of your past beliefs and resistance is not always easy. I love this story.
A man fell over a cliff and he is hanging onto a branch sticking out from the cliff for dear life. He screams out,”Is there is a God, help me?” He hears aloud reply, “YES!” He cries out, again, “What should I do?” God answers, “Let Go!” Then the man replies again, “Is there anyone else up there I can ask for help?” HA!

Remember resistance is wanting to make changes using your old beliefs which keep you stuck with shattered dreams.  Notice using this method has not given you the results you would like. Einstein shared, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” Could it be time do something different? Letting go of the resistance, old patterns and beliefs and embracing the I Can beliefs, will allow you to have more energy to achieve your dreams.

“Sometimes we must become someone we have never become before, to achieve something we have never achieved before.”

You can only do this by letting go of your old beliefs and I can’t emotions, so your new beliefs and I can emotions can take over. In the process, you can have better health and relationship, more wealth, and just be happy! Why not put the flow back into your life? Stop being Stuck!

Emotions – Do you have them?

You have 4 emotions and the first 3 don’t work.   Any time you have emotions you need to “Let them Go” otherwise all you are doing is poisoning your body.  How do you handle emotions? Do you stuff them, ignore them, or express them?

When you do any of the 3 prior ways of handling emotions, you still have them.   This will hinder you in certain areas of your life that affect your life each and every day.  Do you struggle with relationships, health, or finances?   If you do, then you are holding onto emotions that are causing these struggles.  Menopause stages seem to enhance many emotions.  You never know what is going to hit you next.

When someone pushes your buttons and you figure “Oh well, they really didn’t mean to be nasty to me.   I know they love me, and they just don’t realize how they are coming across”.  You are justifying what happened.   You had a negative feeling about what was said or done, yet kept quiet about it.   So you either stuffed it down or ignored it.   Ignoring it doesn’t mean it has gone away.   If you are honest with yourself, you will realize that you are still carrying some kind of hurt or grudge about what was said or done.   Maybe you got angry and expressed that anger.  Venting is also still hanging onto the emotion.   You might think you feel better, but when the very same incident happens again, you get angry all over, right?   So how is you think you let go of the emotion by venting?  You didn’t!

“Letting Go” is the only true way to rid yourself of the negative emotion, so you can be “Happy”.  You allow yourself to feel the emotion, because that is only human.  Once you are aware that you are having the emotion, then you use one of our techniques to “let it go”.   Sounds easy, however, the key is to first recognize that you are having a negative emotion.   Awareness is the first step in letting go of the emotion.

The awareness and “Letting Go”  is life changing!   Practice so you can have better results and truly enjoy life!
